Some useful tips for your move
Don’t have time to go through our detailed checklist to make sure everything is perfectly prepared?
Here are already 4 tips to make your next move easier:
- Notify your landlord of your upcoming departure. Are you a tenant? Inform your landlord of your intention to move out. Details regarding the notice period are clearly stated in your lease agreement. Make sure to carry out a proper move-out inspection before leaving.
- Close your water, gas, and electricity accounts. Contact the different utility companies to inform them of your move-out date. Whether it’s arranging meter readings, transferring information to the new tenant or owner, or completing relocation forms, don’t wait until the last minute!
- Think about DoMyMove! With BPOST’s DoMyMove service, not only can you have your mail forwarded to your new address for at least 4 months, but you can also notify service providers and organizations (internet, banks, insurance companies, loyalty cards, etc.) of your move at the same time!

- Update your home insurance. Before your move, remember to update your home insurance policy and ensure your new residence is properly covered. Enjoy peace of mind from the very start.
